For some reason, the Google+ follow links on my web pages and YouTube are different.
I don't know why, and I'm not sure how I can change this.
If you wish to get all notifications then please follow BOTH for the time being. That means clicking the follow buttons on this page, and also on my YouTube channel.
I will attempt to consolidate the multiple identities, and keep you posted.
Happy woodworking for now, Mitch

New Build Coming Soon
I shall be making a table for my Get Into Woodworking channel soon. This will demonstrate some more woodworking techniques, and furniture construction. The design will be flexible, allowing you to scale it up to a dining table, or down to a doll's house table, but I shall make it as an occasional, or side, table.
Please send me your thoughts on what you would like me to build it out of. The options are from free pallet wood, through spruce and pine, to native British hardwoods.

Lack of Interest
Due to the lack of interest in the Get Into Woodworking channel, I'm not able to devote much time to this project.
I know that some of you really like it, and I'm passionate about getting more people into woodworking, no matter what their budget. Therefore I hope to add more video and website content over time. Please be patient and check back occasionally.

Overdue Update
Sadly I have been too tied up to keep the Get Into Woodworking site up to date.
As I near completion of the second project, I can see a chance to put in some time doing the much needed update.
Hopefully the videos will have been sufficient to get you started enjoying some woodwork.
The updates I hope to include here will reinforce the lessons taught in the videos, provide further information on techniques, and give details of the projects.

Welcome
Hi, and welcome to Get Into Woodworking.
If you want to try woodworking, or have started but would like some basic instruction, then my "Get Into Woodworking" YouTube channel is a great place to begin.
I've been making furniture for over a decade, and hosting "WOmadeOD - Made in Wood with Mitch Peacock" on YouTube since the summer of 2013, where I've posted well over two hundred videos on woodworking. However, some of my subscribers asked if I could make some instructional videos to cover the basics of woodworking - a foundation, if you like, upon which to enjoy the plethora of woodworking videos and sites on the internet, and to develop more advanced woodworking skills. The "Get Into Woodworking" channel is the result, and this blog is a companion resource.
Videos are great, but sometimes the written word and still pictures can tell a more thorough story. The channel and the blog can both stand alone, but some of you may find if beneficial to follow both.
Due to time constraints, the two may not always be at the same stage (as I write this, the first video has already been available on YouTube for a few days), but I hope they will never be too far apart.
You are most welcome to subscribe to the blog, and receive notifications of new posts. You may also wish to visit my main website at www.WOmadeOD.co.uk.
